My story
Meet Milton! Milton is an adorable schnauzer mix who is approximately a year old. Unbelievably, Milton came to us as an unclaimed stray. He was hungry, dirty and matted. Milton is a friendly boy. He is loving the attention he’s getting from our volunteers. Milton seems to like the other dogs he’s met at LHS and enjoys running in the yard. Milton will need more training with basic commands. His new owner needs to have to time, energy and patience to dedicate to him. We are recommending older children with Milton while he learns to take treats gently and not to guard his food. This is a trainable issue and should improve as he learns that food is not scarce. If you would be willing to give Milton the life he deserves, please fill out our online application or stop in during open hours. Wednesdays 6-8pm & Saturdays 12-3pm.
