My story

It’s no mystery why we love Scooby — he’s the full package of fun, affection and charm! Scooby is a happy-go-lucky gentleman who hasn’t met a person he doesn’t like (including kiddos). He’s silly, affectionate and adventurous — and best of all, he’s a world-class snuggle bug. If Scooby had his way, he’d spend his days right next to you, soaking up love and occasionally climbing into your lap (yes, he thinks he’s a lap dog!). Scooby recently got a break from the shelter and stayed in two different foster homes, where he showed just how wonderful he can be in a home environment. In one, he didn’t chase the resident cats, loved running in the backyard and calmly hung out with his humans. In another, he instantly became friends with the household dogs. He’s polite, takes treats gently and even waits his turn like the perfect gentleman. This playful pup also loves the park, the hose (he’ll happily chase the spray!) and long walks — his tail wags nonstop when he sees a leash. Back at the shelter, he’s done well in office settings, entertaining himself with plush toys and checking in regularly for affection. Scooby has been at the shelter for a while, so he’ll need just a little patience as he readjusts to home life. In his foster homes, he was so excited to be with a family again that he zoomed around the first night, but by the second night, he was calm, gentle and quiet. He’s housetrained but may need a quick refresher in a home environment (which he picked up quickly in foster care, especially with other dogs to follow). Scooby is ready to trade his kennel for a couch and show you what a loving, loyal companion he can be. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful dog who just wants to be wherever you are, Scooby is waiting to meet you — and we know you’ll fall in love!
