My story

Meet Storm, a truly stunning dog with a golden gaze that seems to look straight into your soul. With his calm, observant nature and quiet strength, Storm has a stoic charm that sets him apart. Found starving in the middle of winter in North Dallas alongside his mate and puppies, his past was full of hardship, but he’s blossomed into a gentle, loyal companion. Storm loves the simple things—head rubs, squeaky toys, and just relaxing near his people. When it comes to treats, he’s not picky: peanut butter, blueberries, hot dogs, biscuits, or mealtime, he’s always happy. He is crate-trained, potty-trained, and already knows sit and shake. With his intelligence and strong food motivation, Storm is a quick learner when positive reinforcement is involved. Car rides can make him a little unsure, but with encouragement he’s improving each time. At home, he’s quiet, thoughtful, and prefers to take in the world calmly. Storm is currently heartworm positive and undergoing treatment, which is fully covered by Mutts N Such Rescue. His future family will only need to provide a safe, comfortable environment while he finishes treatment—after which he’ll be heartworm free and ready for a full, healthy life. He bonds deeply once trust is built and would do best in a calm home with older children and at least one other dog. Having a canine friend helps him feel more secure and confident as he learns the ropes. With patience, reassurance, and love, Storm will make a wonderful companion. Storm was born in January 2022 and is currently being fostered in North Texas. OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS, COLORADO, OR PENNSYLVANIA BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information.All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas, Colorado, or Pennsylvania. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days.
