My story

This gorgeous gray velvety hippo is Aster! She arrived at the shelter as a lost girl on 3/14, and sadly, no one has come to reclaim her. Aster is now keeping her paws crossed for a new, forever home where she will be loved and kept safe so that she never ends up back in the shelter. The volunteers describe Aster as sweet and friendly. She is quiet and calm in her kennel and attentive to the people around her. Aster is quite strong on leash and will benefit from someone patient and kind who can work on refreshing her leash walking skills and teaching her to walk without pulling. If you have room in your heart and home for Aster please come meet her! Aster is approximately 6 years old and weighs 64 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines and has tested negative for heartworms. She will be spayed and microchipped upon adoption. Aster is waiting patiently in run 880; her ID # is 8730. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
