My story

Medusa is a sweet and loving pup who just needs time to adjust. Once she feels comfortable, she’ll be your most loyal friend (especially if you’re the one feeding her!). Her former owners shared, she’s great with people and fully house-trained. This high-energy girl knows her basic commands, is crate-trained, and just needs someone patient to help her settle in. With love and consistency, Medusa will shine as the incredible pup pal she’s meant to be! Videos: Wiley Miley and Medusa leashed meet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdnmgdjzUCU Behavior Notes: Per staff 3/23: “Took out of kennel for a day trip. She is SO sweet and easy to leash hopped right out of the kennel and trotted down the hallways. Definitely nervous but allowed all handling, she preferred to walk at her own pace but was great harnessing.” “Per staff Playgroup 3/20: Medusa was extremely terrified getting out of kennel and walking to the playgroup yard. I was expecting her to only be in the yard for a few minutes as I didn't want to force her to stay in the yard if she wasn't enjoying it. Once she entered the yard, Medusa seemed to perk up some and follow the other dogs around. She made friends with Palmer and hung out with him for much longer than I expected. She liked the yard and did not want to leave when playgroup was over!” Per owner: “Lives with children and small dogs. High energy, pulls a lot on leash. Go slow with strangers and children, needs to smell them and adjust. Take your time with her and she will be a great dog! Whoever feeds her will be her best friend. Good dog, does bark a lot and can seem scary at first but she is not aggressive.” Medical Notes: Per an exam on 3/19: -She is very scared. Wont walk, pancakes flat down on the ground. -Eyes are red -Ears are a little waxy -teeth has some yellowing, K9's have heavy tartar -would not let me check her stomach for scar or tattoo. -very scared only walked for a second and went flat pancaked on ground. -fearful but friendly -Body condition score of 7 ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in Philadelphia.
