My story

Lisset (Lizzy) is a darling little chihuahua mix. She was born around 2/2024 and is currently 12 lbs. Lizzy is sweet, playful and smart. She enjoys exploring in the yard, playing with her toys and chewing on bully sticks and other chewy bones. She likes playing chase with other friendly dogs. She seems to prefer small dogs but does currently live with well balanced large dogs who don’t bully her and she feels comfortable with them. Lizzy gets attached to a favorite person and will happily follow her person around the house and yard for most of the day. Once she is comfortable and trusts someone she is cuddly and affectionate. She can be shy with new people but has shown she will warm up with slow introductions and treats. She would do best with someone who has the time, patience and understanding to help her build her confidence. She would do well with a confident, friendly, small dog that she can pal around with, help show her the ropes and keep her company while her humans are away from home. She likely would not do well being left home alone daily for long hours and prefers being with her people most of the time. Lizzy currently lives with older, dog savvy cats and does well with them. She may challenge shy kitties and chase if they run. Young children would likely overwhelm her so an adult only home is recommended. She enjoys a yard and is an alert barker so no apartments for her. She is crate trained, doing well with house training and is learning to walk politely on a leash. Lizzy is a little sweetheart who is patiently waiting for her forever home. Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Lisset!, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
