My story

Similar to her namesake, Streusel can be the sweetest addition to your life. Streusel is a young dog, about a year old. She was surrendered to the shelter due to puppylike behavior – chewing on items and needing regular exercise. Her owners who could not longer care for her noted that she is fully crate trained. As a high energy dog, Streusel is looking for a family who can take the time to give a young dog proper exercise and structure – to set them up to live their best life! Streusel has been noted by volunteers to be shy at first, but they love to be by their humans and will pop up in your lap if you let her. Streusel likes to play and can be mouthy, a very common behavior for your dogs. Could you be the one to set Streusel up for her best life? Had a blast doing zoomies, push/pull play. Was rowdy at times. 07/19/2025 volunteer notes: Streusel is a playful little girlie who is a little nervous inside the shelter but who can blame her? She came in as an owner surrender at no fault of her own. Her owner had some health issues and could unfortunately no longer take care of this sweet baby. After a few minutes outside, she really warmed up and started showing her true personality. Estimated to be about one year old, that definitely shows with how playful she can be. While playing, she does get a little mouthy sometimes but it’s never in an aggressive way. I loved playing, spending time and giving her lots of butt scratches which were her favorite.
