My story

Meet Jack! This 53-pound cutie has the fluffiest tail and a beautiful coat that’s just begging to be pet—but he’s still learning how to trust. Jack is a shy boy who’s been nervous in the shelter environment and could really use an immediate, loving foster or adopter to help him decompress and feel safe again.Though he’s still warming up to new people, Jack lights up with joy when he sees the two girls who care for his kennel section—proof that with time, he forms bonds and shows his sweet side. He’s non-reactive to the barking dogs around him, which speaks to his calm nature, even if he’s a bit unsure right now.Jack has medium energy and would thrive with a dog-savvy person who can help him build confidence and enjoy the simple pleasures of being a dog. He’s a strong puller on leash, so a harness and some training will go a long way as he settles into a routine.If you have a patient heart and a peaceful home, Jack is ready to begin his journey to becoming the happy, loved companion he was always meant to be.
