At 15 years young and a whopping 5 pounds, Hachi is basically a tiny, pocket-sized grandpa who enjoys the simple things in life: napping, sniffing around outside, and being devoted to his favorite human. He just wants a cozy lap, a soft bed, and someone to remind him he’s the best boy. 🌟 Bonded with daughter Ally! They’re quiet, gentle, and stick together like peanut butter and jelly. 🍽️ Light Eater. Hachi isn’t all that into food—he eats to live, not the other way around. (Think more “tiny nibbler” than “bottomless pit.”) 🚽 Housebreaking… Eh, We’re Working on It! He does his best, but at his age, sometimes nature calls overnight. 🐾 Loyal & Loving. He’s already picked a favorite person in his foster home, so if you’re looking for a ride-or-die bestie, Hachi’s your guy! (Just be prepared for possible future jealous boyfriend behavior. 😆) Hachi is frail and has some kidney struggles, so he’s looking for a calm, loving home where he can live out his golden years in peace, snuggles, and all the soft blankets his little heart desires. Hachi has a condition where his male anatomy doesn’t fully retract. While surgery was considered, he wasn’t an ideal candidate, so occasional application of salve helps keep him comfortable. If you’re ready to spoil a tiny senior with endless love, Hachi and his bestie Ally would love to meet you! 💙🐕 If you are interested in finding out more about Hachi, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Hachi is being fostered in Millville, MA. Hachi's adoption fee is $150. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Hachi, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
