My story

Meet Rocko, a stunning ~2-year-old neutered male TN Treeing Brindle/cur with a heart of gold! Weighing around 55 pounds, this gorgeous boy boasts breathtaking brindle coloring and captivating eyes that will melt your heart. Rocko is a gentle soul who thrives on attention and affection, loving nothing more than being by your side. He is a social butterfly who enjoys the company of dogs, people, and older kids (as he may unintentionally knock over smaller children). Rocko is currently being fostered in southern NH. From Rocko's current foster:  "Hi, I’m Rocko, and my foster family can’t believe I haven’t been adopted yet they say my personality is a 10/10! Everyone who meets me loves me and I love them too I’m about 2 years old but I still think I’m a little baby. I love to sit on laps and cuddle. People say I’m too big to be a lap dog at 55 lbs, but if I fits I sits! I am a chill guy and I am not at all interested in fetching or wrestling with my dog friends. I am more about couch sitting, sunshine napping , and sometimes playing with my toys. I like to be a shadow to my people and keep them company. I also love walks, chomping on ice , and any and all treats. And again, I can’t overstate my love of cuddling, it’s my top priority in life! Sure, I still need some training with walking politely on the leash and keeping my paws on the  ground when I am excited or want to see what the humans are eating. But I’m still kind of a baby, and my foster mom said I learned sit, down, and paw very fast! She also said I was an absolute angel for my bath and brush.  I didn’t get the best start in life because I was a stray dog and got very, very hungry and a little scared. I was caught and put in the kill shelter, but Paws saved me. Now I’m ready for my happily-ever-after! Could it be with you? Let’s meet and find out!"  -Rocko Rocko also has a secret talent - he is a softball fan and good luck charm! One middle school team went undefeated in their season with his support, proving that Rocko's presence is a winning formula!  Medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained, Rocko is ready to bring love, joy, and loyalty to his new family. Could it be you?! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2337201##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Rocko, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
