As soon as we picked up Melody her enthusiasm was evident, she was so wiggly and very ready to get some exercise! This energetic girl is not only beautiful but so happy to play with us. A stranger even remarked, "wow her smile is contagious." We walked together around Central Park, stopping at several different benches to take a breather. We watched passerby's together and enjoy a bunch of treats. Melody gently takes treats and isn't picky on kinds of treats either! She's easy to please. Melody loves walking, playing with toys and chases birds and squirrels. She would absolutely love a fenced in area where she can run full speed to get her energy out so we did our best to recreate that with an on leash experience by doing hell sprints with her lol! She had little to no reaction to other dogs on leash and sometimes she would give a little play bow to a neighbor. She also knows "sit". Melody is excited to come into an active household that can give her daily exercise so she can thrive. She is very loyal and was completely attached to us by the time our time together was done. Adopt Melody she is a very very sweet girl who is ready to love you!Another #BoroughBreak Buddy writes: Melody is a sweet, energetic pup that thinks she is a lap dog! After getting her energy out initially, she was an angel! She had no issue walking in the rain. We sat on a bench together and she put her entire body weight on me for 40 mins. When I tried to leave, she climbed back on the bench for more snuggles. She was interested in other dogs, whining when she couldn't say hi. She also knows tricks like sit and paw. She was very treat motivated and easy to teach. She will be a great dog for and athletic, strong, and energetic family who also is down to have a doggy weighted blanket.What my friends at ACC say about me:I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I'm ready to learn! I need a patient person who has the time to work on training with me.I am excitable and energetic! I will need positive outlets for my energy!I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.I love getting pets and - you guessed it - snuggles!
