Electric is a bright and enthusiastic pup enrolled in our Shelter Scholars program, and he's quickly proven to be one of the most receptive and engaged dogs in training. With a low threshold for arousal and a tendency to get a little jumpy when excited, Electric has been focusing on developing basic manners and building self-control through consistent, positive reinforcement.He's been working hard on cues like Recall, Leave It, and Sitting on Approach, and he's made impressive progress. Electric is also practicing Engage/Disengage exercises, and he's now able to respond to a sound cue (clicker) to disengage and the word "OK" to re-engage-a huge milestone! He's currently learning to pair this behavior with the verbal cue Leave It, showing just how tuned-in and capable he is.Electric is being set up for success in his foster or forever home, where his training can continue, and his spark can shine in a loving and structured environment.What my friends at ACC say about me:My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children.I would do best in a home with only adult humans.I love to be loved, but on my own terms!
