Dee Dee

My story

My foster writes:Dee Dee is the SWEETEST cat. All he wants to do is be close to his human!! He makes sweet little trilling noises as he follows you around the house, and bonks his head into yours or into your hand with the most loving and intentional force. He plays like it's his job, but most of the time he is a sleepy snoozler that just loves to be on top of your lap. At night he always makes sure some part of him is touching me, stretching out his little paw to touch my arm while he sleeps. He's delightful and loving!What my friends at ACC say about me:I am a cat that is in need of a lap! I can't wait to be your new lap cat.DeeDee tolerates attention and petting but he may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Due to the behavior shown and reported by previous owner, he may not be a great fit for young children. A volunteer writes: Dee Dee was brought to us with his winter coat and it's been lovingly placed on his condo door. A vestige of his former life in which he was very well loved and a reminder that he will be again, Dee Dee came to the Care Center after his person passed away. He's been doing his best to show everyone that he's ready for a second chance by putting on a happy face and making the best of things. He loves cuddles and looking out the bright sunny windows, but Dee Dee plays like he invented it. I've seen him try to carry two toys in his little cat mouth while digging an impromptu kind of toy nest with his blankets. Carefree and adorable, he plays like a kitten who has only ever known love. When Dee Dee isn't energetically rolling around with his toy collection at the front of his condo, I see him curled up in his box with his belly up and paws spread out. Whenever I offer Dee Dee my hand, he'll stretch his paws out for more pets, but I think he's hoping that if he stretches those paws out long enough, he'll catch his forever family.
