My story

🐾 Meet Mable! 🐾Found tied up in a building lobbyFour-year-old Mable was found late at night, tied up and alone in a Bronx apartment lobby. Despite the confusion around her story, one thing is clear: Mable is a loving, social pup who wants nothing more than to be part of someone's family again.🏡 My Ideal HomeMable is affectionate, eager to connect, and full of potential. She's looking for a calm, structured home where she can continue learning polite behaviors, feel safe, and be treated as a beloved family member. She loves her crate, toys, and checking in with her person. A patient adopter willing to work on consistency and confidence-building will help Mable thrive.👶 Good with Kids?We recommend a home without young children under 5. Mable is friendly but can jump up when excited, and she'll benefit from continued work on impulse control.🐕 Good with Other Dogs?Mable has shown social curiosity around other dogs, including during shelter walks. With proper introductions, she may enjoy a canine companion - especially one who's calm and tolerant.🦮 Leash MannersMable walks well on leash most of the time and is quick to check in with her handler. She's interested in people she passes on the street and may pull slightly to greet them, but she's easily redirected and continues on her walk with a happy trot.🩺 Overall HealthMable recently had her spay surgery and is healing well. She was slightly overweight on intake but is now at a healthier weight of 55 pounds. She was treated for a mild ear infection and has been given flea/tick prevention, vaccines, and a microchip. Her post-surgical recovery has gone smoothly.📊 Behavior Determination: Level 2Mable is suitable for an experienced adopter comfortable with large, enthusiastic dogs who are still brushing up on their manners. She's friendly, gentle, and eager to please - she just needs someone to show her how.🎉 One Fun FactMable has the cutest habit of running to her crate and turning around to make sure you're following. It's like she's saying, "This way to my happy place - wanna come hang out?"💸 Adoption Fee: $75Includes spay surgery, vaccinations, microchip, and a lifetime of snuggles.Ready for a second chance at first love? Come meet Mable at the Manhattan Care Center! Primary Color: Red Brown Secondary Color: White Weight: 63.5 Age: 4yrs 1mths 2wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Mable, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
