SPECIAL NEEDS - Neurological disorder Hi, I’m Ripp – a one-of-a-kind, 2-year-old hound with a little quirk to my step. I was born with a neurological condition that makes me walk and move a bit differently than other dogs. It doesn’t stop me from enjoying life, but it does mean I need a few things to feel safe and happy: a fenced-in backyard to explore at my own pace, and little to no leash walks - they make me really nervous and uncomfortable. I also get very anxious in the car. I get along well with some dogs and have even met cats, but I’d do best in a home without young kids. I like to keep my food and toys to myself, so I appreciate being left alone during mealtime or when I’m playing. I’m crate trained and really love having a cozy spot to relax. If you have a calm, loving home and an open heart for a dog who might be a little different, I promise to give you all the tail wags, snuggles, and goofy charm I’ve got.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ripp, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
