If you are seriously interested in an animal, we ask that you first fill out an application, tailsofrescue.org This will be the first step to gaining more information about the animal as well as allow us to know a little bit about you. Meet Fish – A Gentle Soul Ready for Her Forever Home Fish is a sweet and resilient 4-year-old poodle mix, weighing around 10 pounds. When she first came to us, she was timid and reserved, but over the past year, she has blossomed into a loving and loyal companion. Her vaccinations, including rabies and heartworm test, were updated on 3/9/2025. Fish came to us from a crowded shelter on 12/30/2023, where she arrived with 26-month-old puppies and heavily pregnant. Despite her difficult past, she’s shown incredible strength and progress. With time, patience, and love, she has slowly learned to trust and enjoy life. She now enjoys daily walks with one of our dedicated volunteers at Anderson River Park. While large crowds still overwhelm her a bit, she’s much more at ease in quieter settings, where her affectionate and eager-to-please personality shines through. Fish is a true dog’s dog—she gets along wonderfully with all kinds of pups. If others are dominant or aggressive, she’ll respectfully keep her distance. But if they’re laid-back, she turns into a cuddly, gentle snuggle bug. She’d thrive in a calm home with no more than 3–4 other dogs. Her only quirk? She’s a skilled climber and can scale a 6-foot chain-link fence, so she’ll need a secure yard with vinyl or wood fencing. That said, once she bonds with her person, she’s much more content to stay close. In her foster home, she’s never left outside alone and always stays safely indoors when no one’s home. After years of being a mama dog—who knows how many litters—Fish deserves a soft place to land. She’s ready to leave her past behind and find a loving forever family where she can finally just be someone’s cherished girl. Are you ready to give Fish the forever she’s been waiting for? Spayed/Neuiterd, micro chipped, heartworm negative (if of age), dhpp shots, kennel cough vacs., and one year rabies is completed. Adoption fee is $200 We are NOT a first-come-first to adopt a rescue, the best fit for the family and dog is the way we do things. We do out of town adoptions often, but will not ship animals must come to Redding for pick up. ##2333136##
