My story

While we don't know this small "mutt-tacular" girl's exact lineage, we think she best resembles a mix of Italian Greyhound, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and Dutch Shepherd.Riley Ray needs an owner who can help her continue building confidence. She's full of enthusiasm and energy, but she's also learning how to express herself in a more gentle way. Because of this, we don't feel she would be suitable for a home with young children.In her calm and quiet foster home, Riley has made incredible progress. She is house-trained, crate-trained, and is proving to be an excellent companion. She has mastered "sit," "come," and "stay," and when she's inside, she enjoys lounging on the couch, quietly soaking in the environment. Outside, she plays with enthusiasm, especially with her foster family's dog. Riley Ray has also been improving on her leash manners and is learning to walk in tandem with another dog. She's great at meeting new dogs but still is uncertain about some people and would benefit from a human who can not only advocate for her boundaries but will also facilitate proper introductions when the time and environment is right. We're surprised this incredible pup hasn't been adopted yet! She's smart, affectionate, and eager to learn.
