My story

What a sweetheart!!  Please meet Achilles! Achilles was sadly dumped at a busy, dangerous, car lot with lots of traffic. He had a large wound on his face. He is a true survivor and very brave. He was shy and nervous when he first came to us, but then he realized that we are here to help him! He has now blossomed and is relaxed, and his personality is shining through. Talkative and gentle, loves to be with you. When I visited Achilles, he was in a free-roaming room with several other cats. He followed me around, hoping for more love and affection. Achilles was patient and gentle with the other cats as they all wanted pets too. I’m amazed at how open and friendly Achilles is, even though he has been treated so poorly by the people he trusted. Achilles also sticks his tongue out most of the time, and it was discovered he has quite an overbite of his bottom jaw, which just makes him more adorable! Check out Achilles’ cute video:  https://www.youtube.com/shorts/PRjrkhveukQ . He’s basking in the attention. The video does not show the wound that is healing on the left side of his face.  In one pic, he is hanging out with his friend Luisa (FCID# 03/18/2025 - 520, now at Brookhaven PetSmart).  His fur is a gorgeous deep orange, almost copper. Achilles is one in a million and a definite treasure and a great gift to have in your life! This boy arrived already neutered, ear-tipped and had an awful gash on the left side of his face.  He is healing, and we would like to find a foster for him.  Another of our volunteers commented,' He's so sweet and was seeking my attention the whole time I was in the room. I've seen him for the past 3 weeks, I think. and he was playful and sweet every time.' Please check out his video:  https://www.youtube.com/shorts/PRjrkhveukQ . Please submit our no-obligation Foster Application:  https://forgottencats.org/foster-a-cat/.  Ready for a meet and greet or to adopt?  Here is the link to our adoption application:   https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/.   Thank you!  (Foster: Trainer)May 7, 2025, 7:33 am
