My story

Meet Justin Timberlake, a super sweet 5 month old male mixed breed puppy, currently weighing about 20 lbs! Justin and his 4 brothers (the Boy Band litter) were born to mama Betty (Cattle Dog mix weighing about 28 lbs) on 1/10/25. We think they are mixed with some kind of hound, and we expect them to grow to medium sized dogs. Justin is a typical happy, friendly puppy who loves everyone! He is good with other dogs, cats, people, and kids. A 100% good doggo!  From Justin's current foster:  "Justin is gentle, loves to cuddle, and is very docile unless his favorite toy is being offered (a stuffed whale), and then he’s got about 5 solid minutes of energy. He is crate trained and mostly house trained. Good with cats, dogs, and people. Would love nothing more than to have lazy Sunday every day. Looks exactly like scrappy doo, a mix of dachshund, shepherd, and others. Prefers company and would love a home with a hybrid/remote worker in the house." As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
