Poke Bowl

My story

Poke Bowl is a sweet, fun-loving girl who is one year old and weighs 48 lbs. She is full of energy and affection, always eager to be around people and show love. Her soft fur and gentle demeanor make her a joy to be around. Poke Bowl is curious and enjoys exploring her surroundings. She loves cuddles and leans in for pets, always eager to shower her family with affection. She enjoys being close to those she loves and is happy to cuddle up whenever she can. When it comes to walks, Poke Bowl is excited and jumps and paws at the door when she knows it's time to go outside. While she may pull a bit initially, she does best with a harness. She is still learning to stay calm around other dogs and wildlife, but with a little space, she is able to focus and enjoy her walks. Poke Bowl rides well in the car, either lying down or gazing out the window. She hops in the car by herself but is still working on not jumping out the moment the door opens. Poke Bowl is treat-motivated and already knows how to sit. She is also making great progress on learning "down." While she can be a bit jumpy when treats are involved, she quickly settles and takes them gently. This sweet girl is ready to find her forever home. She is a loving, affectionate companion who brings joy, laughter, and plenty of cuddles to the right family. As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
