My story

Meet Arrietty! This 4-year-old, 41-pound bundle of joy is ready to find her new family! Arrietty is the perfect mix of playful and polite. She rides like a dream in the car, walks easily on a leash, and has impeccable manners in public—making her an ideal adventure buddy or coffee shop companion. Arrietty’s tail wags the hardest when treats are involved, and she’ll happily show off her good behavior for a tasty snack (or two). She’s also a big fan of butt scratches and absolutely loves carrying her ball around — it's her favorite thing! With her sweet nature, playful spirit, and good-girl energy, Arrietty is the kind of dog that’ll steal your heart in no time. Whether you're looking for a loyal walking partner or a cozy couch companion, Arrietty is ready to be your new best friend. As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
