My story

(DOB 11/13/2023) Leona, the sweet, quirky hound mix is a total character! With her beautiful brown and white coat and an adorable personality that’s as goofy as it is lovable, Leona is sure to win you over in no time. Leona’s favorite hobby? Making people laugh! She’s always up to something silly, like sneaking toys into her kennel (she has a secret stash!) or zooming around the yard like she’s got a rocket engine. Sure, she’s a little shy when you first meet her, but once she feels comfortable, her playful side will shine through. And trust us, it’s hard to resist her charm when she’s bouncing around with a toy in her mouth. She'd love a yard with a tall 6ft fence to play and run around in but it isn't a deal breaker if her family is active. Leona LOVES toys—like, really loves them. She’s a sharer, too! So if you’ve got another dog who’s confident and ready to play, Leona will be in her element. She wants a patient family that will continue to work with her and build her sense of security with new people; she warms up but needs a little time. Leona is also adjusting to new, loud, scary sounds and may bolt so keep her safe with good awareness of doors and gates. Leona really needs another confident, friendly, fun pup in her forever home, so if your dog is ready for another fabulous friend, Leona is "all ears!!! Leona is the kind of dog who will make your heart smile. She’s looking for a forever home where she can feel safe, loved, and ready to show off all her goofy, playful sides. So, if you’re looking for a fun-loving companion who’s still got some growing to do, Leona just could be your perfect match. Come meet this little bundle of joy today—she’s waiting to steal your heart (and maybe your socks)! As part of Leona’s $300 adoption fee, she is spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little girl, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Leona, you can fill in an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2302310##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Leona, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
