My story

Meet Kimchi! Kimchi is a 4-5 year old, 40lb pound pocket pittie with the most handsome brindle coat you've ever seen. With his soulful eyes and laid back personality, he's the kind of dog who'll steal your heart and probably your spot on the couch, too. Kimchi is a low energy guy who finds comfort just being near his people. Whether he's soaking up belly rubs, collecting treats, or quietly lounging by your side, he's happiest when he's close to the humans he trusts. He walks beautifully on leash and enjoys calm strolls, making him an easygoing companion for adventures. Kimchi is great with children and would love to be part of a family. He also gets along well with cats and is currently being fostered with one! Kimchi is currently working through separation anxiety and crate training. Like many rescue dogs, he's still learning that it's okay to be alone and that the people he loves will always come back. He's been making slow and steady progress, and is beginning to realize that a little alone time isn't so scary after all. His crate is becoming a safe space, and with consistent, positive reinforcement, he's continuing to build his confidence. Because of this, Kimchi would do best with an adopter who has the time, patience, and understanding to help him keep making strides. Someone who works from home or has a flexible schedule would be ideal as he continues learning that independence can be a good thing, too. Kimchi is looking to settle into a home where he's loved for exactly who he is. Kimchi is eligible for our Foster to Adopt program, giving you the chance to see if he's the perfect fit before making it official.
