My story

**$270 in pledges for the rescue that pulls** ** New Videos 3/18!** Bucko ACCT-A-214149 is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia due to lack of space for incoming dogs, and length of stay. Bucko must have confirmed placement with an RESCUE PARTNER, FOSTER, or ADOPTER by Thursday, March 20th at 10 A.M. Should Bucko's medical or behavioral status change, his urgency and timeline for placement may also change. Bucko is a 2 year old fun-loving, wiggly boy who is full of energy and enthusiasm! He enjoys treats and will eagerly seek them out—though he can be a bit snatchy, so he’ll need some guidance with manners. Bucko came to ACCT as a stray; Animal Protection Officers picked him up on 2/28. Officers noted they received a call about a dog running loose at a rec center, and the finder safely secured him in a crate at their home. When APOs arrived, they noted that Bucko was a super sweet and goofy boy. He was very loose and allowed all handling. He pulls lightly on the leash. Bucko is a big fan of toys, especially balls, and loves soaking up affection. He’s a cuddle bug who leans in for head rubs, enjoying every bit of attention from his friends. He allows all handling and is eager to please. Due to his length of stay, Bucko is timestamped. Because of his excitement and enthusiasm, Bucko is looking for an adult-only home where he can thrive with structure, training, and lots of love. If you’re ready for an affectionate, treat-motivated pup who will keep you entertained, Bucko is the one for you! Videos: *NEW* Meet Timestamped Bucko: https://youtube.com/shorts/FKWI_aC5X0Y?si=TFNfcHt95M5witKW *NEW* Playgroup 3/18: Bucko, Champion, Parcheesi, and Bella Drop Leash: https://youtu.be/Hy9TXPDBYOs Patrick Lovehart, Molly, and Bucko drop leash: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONYbs0stxsg Behavioral: Playgroup 3/18: Bucko was very sexually motivated in playgroup today and was rowdier than the other dogs. He was chasing after the other dogs and trying to mount them which they did not like, but Bucko was oblivious to their corrections and was showing a definite impulse control issue. 03/09/2025 staff notes: In playgroup, Bucko was rough and rowdy very pushy and playful with the other dogs. He was also very obnoxious and didn't give any dogs personal space. 03/03/2025 Bucko came down with an upper respiratory infection and was started on Doxycycline. On 3/4 Bucko's PCR test came back negative. 03/01/2025 staff notes: Bucko was in his crate with soft eyes and mid level wags. He was easy to leash and came right out once secured. Pulls minimally to moderately on leash. In the room, Bucko was loose and wiggly with the handlers and jumped all over them. He was very treat motivated and was seeking them out. He is extremely snatchy with treats and will climb all over you for them. He likes to play with balls or anything round shaped and loves affection. He allowed all handling and began leaning his head into the handlers for head and face rubs. Minimal interest in play and toys. On 03/01/2025, during the initial intake exam, it was noted that Bucky's eyes were pink, ears were clean, but the tip of the inner ear was dry. His nose was wet and moist. There was tartar buildup, and his gums were pink and moist. Overall, he appeared healthy and was quiet, alert, responsive, and friendly. 02/28/2025 staff notes: Super sweet and goofy boy. Very loose and allowed all handling. Pulls lightly on leash Due to being significantly overcapacity with dogs and cats and higher than usual intake, extensions are unlikely to be granted. If you are interested in an animal please contact ACCT Philly immediately. Due to limited space, timestamps may also be proceeded with early so it is imperative to let us know if you are considering adopting or tagging a dog or cat. Confirmed placement is considered confirmation of an actual rescue pull. Possible placement, interested parties, and other "TBD" statuses are not considered confirmed and do not indicate an animal is no longer urgent. ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in Philadelphia. We are open for adoptions 7 days a week. Please visit www.acctphilly.org/adopt for details. All animals at ACCT Philly are from Philadelphia, as the only open intake animal shelter in Philadelphia, we are not able to accept animals from outside of Philadelphia. ACCT Philly’s Pennsylvania kennel license number is 08313

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Breyer, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
