My story

Scooter (“Scoots”) and Peanut Butter are a precious and loving pair of bonded 7-month-old brothers looking for their forever home together!Peanut Butter and Scooter are both active kitties who love tunnels and toys and wrestling with each other. They are both purr-ers who love to snuggle up on the couch with each other and with their person or another household kitty. Jumping and scrambling to grab the feathered wand is a huge hit, but they are just as happy in a box, rummaging in a paper bag or chasing a tin foil ball.Scooter is especially curious, and sometimes talkative. In contrast Peanut Butter likes to hunker down in the sitting chicken position on a rug in the sun. PB can sometimes get underfoot as he doesn’t respond as quickly to moving human feet. Anyone lucky enough to adopt these two will need to be aware of PB’S whereabouts - mostly during high-traffic moments like in the kitchen at feeding time!Peanut Butter is a special little Munchkin. He was born the smallest of his litter and developed a little differently. He was born missing the normal anatomy of either female or male cats! This means Peanut Butter is what we call intersex, and upon surgical evaluation, no reproductive organs were able to be identified. PB functions normally in the litter box just like his brother so no worries there-he/she is just a unique special little being. These adorable sweeties sadly lost their mother at two weeks old and had a hard start, but over the past months they’ve been growing well and Peanut Butter has caught up quickly to his brother developmentally. Both boys are very sweet, easy kittens to have around and adaptable to whatever routine the human sets. They both get a lot of exercise in this household. Peanut Butter loves to get into bed under the down comforter, cuddle close, and sleep. He also loves his furry donut, and his cozy cave. Scoots has a loud purr box, he is happy to sleep independently or with his human and brother. The boys love staring out the window at the bird feeder watching their favorite show, “Goldfinch,” every day. These sweethearts have been living in a big home with a large gentle goldendoodle, 1 retired human, and 3 female cats/kittens (aged 14 years, 15 months, and 7 months). They have access to several levels of the home, thus racing up and down staircases chasing each other to great enjoyment. I suspect if you asked them, they’d love a similar environment in their forever home. Peanut Butter and Scoots are used to having a human around a lot, since they live with a human who is retired. A retired or work-from-home person would be ideal! Due to some tough experiences in their original home with a “protection dog,” I do not recommend the boys go to a home with a rowdy or aggressive dog—but a calm, gentle canine friend would likely be well accepted. Because Peanut Butter is a unique being, and needs a little more attention due to his special qualities, only experienced cat person(s) would be the best fit for these little loves. These sweethearts had a very hard start for such young boys, but they have thrived in their cozy, affectionate foster home, and would love to continue their journey with the right loving cat-savvy humans.-----Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat? Please fill out Pet Haven’s adoption application: http://bit.ly/2fd9U2Fpethavenmnwww..org/adopt. All ages and breeds are a best estimate. Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.
