My story

Bruce is a bundle of joy with lots of playful energy and an endless supply of kisses! At 65 pounds, this 3-year-old still believes he’s a lap dog, blissfully unaware of his size. Whether he's cuddling on the couch with his head in your lap or playing with his squeaky toys, Bruce is a happy-go-lucky pup ready to bring joy and constant companionship to his forever family.Bruce is a well adjusted, loving and loyal pup who enjoys soaking up the affection he receives. He is fully house-trained and does not require any crating in the house. He is a true gentleman and chooses to curl up and sleep if his humans are away. While he does bark when he hears noises in his apartment building, he settles easily, making him a good fit for shared walls. He is very smart and knows basic commands, so training has been a breeze. Bruce loves to make new friends—that means more playtime for him! He’s been polite and friendly with all people and dogs he’s met so far. He's sweet and gentle with kids, and likes to cool off his paws in his doggy pool set up in the yard. While he hasn’t been around cats yet, he loves chasing squirrels and small critters, so any introductions to cats should be done slowly.Bruce is a fun-loving pup that adores squeaky toys, tennis balls, and anything else he can play with. He is a medium energy dog with occasional bouts of joyous zoomies and enjoys all the play and walks he can get! He loves to be outside and a fenced yard would be helpful to give him regular exercise, but is not required. When he's ready to settle down with a treat after a long day, just throw an ice cube or chew treat his way!Bruce is just the sweetest dog ever! Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.
