My story

adoption donation : $599 weight 34 lbs Age 7 months as of 5/24           Sweet  Gretel and her three sisters were left in the driveway at the Wags rescue in Mississippi, an all too common occurrence. She  appears to be a plott hound mix, maybe with some  Catahoula leopard, she is on the smaller side of a medium size pup.       Gretel is a doll, super loving and friendly, she just loves to follow her foster mom in Mississippi all over the rescue. If she’s not, she’s playing and romping with the other dogs at Wags and then snuggling in a puppy pile to nap.    Gretel has been spayed and has her vaccinations. She is housebroken at Wags but like any rescue will need some training while she adjusts to a new environment.    Gretel would love to catch the next transport from Tupelo to the northeast! There is a transport truck leaving the weekend after Memorial Day and we’d love to see Gretel on it, ready to go to a loving home of her very own. We know she will make a wonderful and snuggly member of the family.        Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter at one of the clinics we use. For more information on adopting Gretel or any of our Wags dogs please email mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com    May 18, 2025, 6:51 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Gretel, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
