My story

Shad is a four-month-old Bernese Mountain Dog (¾) and Poodle (¼) mix who was rescued from an Amish puppy mill alongside his sister. This fun-loving, spunky pup is full of personality and ready to find his forever home! Shad loves to play in the snow, go for walks, and, of course, enjoy his well-earned nap time. He’s learning what it means to live in a home and be loved by humans and enjoys the company of other dogs. Shad is a confident little guy who adores cuddles and greets his foster family with excitement—often hopping up on two legs, ready to be held. He’s very curious and will let you know when he hears a new sound, though he quickly quiets down when told. Though he loves affection and companionship, Shad is also independent and enjoys having his alone time. However, because this is his first experience being around people and dogs who truly love him, he does grow attached and will need some patience as he adjusts to being separated from his humans and canine friends. Shad is adaptable, affectionate, and will thrive with a family ready to provide patience, love, and continued training. He’ll be the perfect addition to any home looking for a playful, loyal companion! Shad is fostered in Southport. Adoption fee is $475 If you do not hear from us within 7 days please email passion4petsrescue@gmail.com

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Shad, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
