My story

Apollo is fostered in Pleasonton, Kansas.   This distinguished boy is Apollo.  He is a black tri minature Australian Shepherd male.  He is 8 years young and currently working on his physique with a weight loss program.  He weighs 45 pounds and should likely be about 35 - 40 lbs.   He arrived in rescue because he was not willing to compromise his space with the tiny little tornadoes in his (former) home.  While we really don't blame him, we did agree to find him another home without them.  Apollo is a wonderful boy and truly just wants a companion to love and cherish him.  Apollo is crate trained, house trained and has great house manners.  Apollo is in a foster home with several other dogs and gets along with them marvelously - dogs of all ages and sizes.  Apollo is good with feline companions as well as bunnies.   He would do best in a home with an adopter who will continue his weight management program; one that provides ample love and belly rubs; and one WITHOUT little ones so kids over 12 years of age.  He is truly a Velcro aussie and loves to follow his foster home around.  He could use some work on leash walking skills, but aside from that, he has been a wonderful house guest in his foster mom's home.  His current favorite place is laying on the back of the couch, wathing out the window.   Apollo is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, negative for heartworms and tickborne illnesses, and has been receiving monthly preventatives for fleas, ticks and heartworms. Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required to adopt from our organization.  For more information on our adoption process or to complete an adoption application, please visit our website at www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org. NOTE:  All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers so we need an approved application on file to set up a meet with a dog you might have an interest in.  Please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, our adoption fees and a link to our adoption application.  We pride ourselves on matches that work for both the dog and your family.  MASR is here for your support, advice and safety net for our dogs for the remainder of their lives.  www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org ##2296852##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt 0763 Apollo (mini), please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
