My story

Akira is a young Akita (estimated DOB 8/10/25) with a sweet personality and a sharp mind. Weighing 55 pounds, she’s a great listener and eager to please, making her a wonderful companion for someone looking for an intelligent and affectionate pup. She’s playful and full of puppy energy, always ready for an adventure, especially if it involves snow—her absolute favorite! Akira loves attention and will happily soak up all the love she can get. Dog-friendly and well-mannered, Akira is quiet in her kennel and enjoys having toys to keep her entertained. She’s also a big fan of treats, which makes training fun and rewarding. Whether she’s romping around outside or curled up with her people, Akira’s loving and playful nature makes her an easy dog to adore. She’s looking for a home where she can continue to grow and thrive, surrounded by love and adventure. Her minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
