My story

Meet Skid Steer, he is an adorable 11-month-old male cat with a curious spirit and a heart full of potential. While he may need a little extra time to warm up to new surroundings, he’s sure to flourish in a patient and loving home.To help Skid Steer settle in comfortably, we recommend starting him off in a separate room, especially if you have other cats. He’ll benefit from slow, gentle introductions to resident pets and any dogs in the home. With the right pace, he has the potential to get along well with calm, respectful companions—both furry and human! Skid Steer would do best in a home with older children, where interactions can be slow and mindful of his comfort levels.Skid Steer thrives on routine and would love a scheduled playtime with fun, interactive toys. He’s learning how to engage with people and enjoys affection—especially when it’s focused on his favorite spots like the top of his head. He’s not a fan of full-body petting just yet, so tuning in to his body language will go a long way in building trust. With a little patience and a lot of love, Skid Steer is sure to blossom into a wonderful companion. If you`re looking for a sweet, independent kitty to grow with, Skid Steer might just be your perfect match! He is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations and preventatives. If you have further questions, please call the shelter at (517) 626-6060 or email our adoption staff at adoptions@AdoptLansing.org.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Skid Steer, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
