My story

If you've been looking for an A+ doggo to add to your family, you can stop your search because you just found him! Meet Elvis! Elvis is a purebred Southern Speckled Goofball but the AKC would say "English Coonhound". Coonhounds are the perfect family dog. They love to join you for long walks, help you clean your dishes and curl up on the couch in the evenings. Well tempered and fun breed.  Elvis is crate trained, knows a couple basic commands (we'll be working on more), and *loves* cats, children, and other dogs. He is currently 45lbs but should be closer to 55lbs when at a healthy weight.  Elvis is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
