My story

Meet Simba, a charming 4-year-old male looking for his forever home. Simba is a smart, confident, and athletic boy. On walks, he starts off strong with excitement (can you blame him?), but once he gets going, he settles into a great rhythm and loves to sniff and explore. He already knows basic commands like sit, paw, and down, and takes treats with a gentle mouth. Simba is also a toy lover and enjoys nothing more than some outside time where he can relax and observe the world around him. Despite his energetic kennel presence, once outside, he’s calm, observant, and can be surprisingly low-key. Simba thrives as the only pet, but he’s social with people and ready to pour all his love into his person. He’s one of those dogs that gets overlooked in the shelter, maybe because his eagerness to get out can be misunderstood. But spend just a little time with him, and you’ll see what an endearing, and deeply lovable dog he is. We don’t know why Simba has been waiting so long—he’s truly an easy dog to love.
