My story

Ollie – The Ultimate Lap Dog in a Medium-Sized Package Meet Ollie, a 10-month-old, 44-lb bundle of love and sweetness. He may still be a puppy, but Ollie has the soul of an old, affectionate friend. His favorite place in the world? Sprawled out across your lap, snoozing happily after a walk or play session. For such a young pup, Ollie is surprisingly chill. He enjoys his walks, plays happily with his toys, and then is more than ready for some quality cuddle time. He’s great on leash, treat-motivated, and enjoys learning new things—training with him is both fun and rewarding. Ollie’s gentle nature shines through wherever he goes. He’s done wonderfully in public, greeting new people with happy tail wags and a calm demeanor. He also plays beautifully with other dogs, making him a great fit for a home with canine companions. If you’re looking for a best friend who’s equal parts snuggly and playful, Ollie might just be your perfect match. He’s ready to bring love, calm energy, and a whole lot of lap time into your life. As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
