**Meet Tip Tap** Meet Tip Tap, a kind and gentle 4-year-old pup weighing 42 pounds. This handsome boy is a calm and patient companion, particularly when it comes to putting on his harness—he’s patient and doesn’t wiggle or jump, as long as it’s done without delay. Tip Tap is a wonderful passenger in the car, enjoying the ride as long as you’re moving. However, when the car comes to a stop, he might express his desire to get out by barking and trying to make his way to the front seat, so be prepared for a bit of enthusiasm when you reach your destination. On walks, Tip Tap is a joy—he pulls minimally on the leash, making him easy to manage. He’s also highly treat-motivated, so he’ll be a quick learner when it comes to training and reinforcing positive behaviors. He already knows "sit," and with a little more practice, he could easily learn other commands too. While he is generally calm, Tip Tap does have a little bit of energy, especially when he’s excited about going for a walk or an adventure, making him a fun and lively companion. While Tip Tap isn’t really interested in toys, he’s great about getting a bath and does well with handling, though he’s not fond of the blow dryer afterward. When it comes to socializing, Tip Tap is a friendly and happy-go-lucky guy who loves meeting new people. He doesn't show any reactive behavior when encountering other dogs at a distance. Tip Tap absolutely loves hiking and is curious about the wildlife around him, especially ducks. He'd love a family to go on adventures with! He is also house and crate trained, which will help for a smooth transition into any home! Tip Tap is ready to find his new home, where he can enjoy adventures, love, and the calm companionship he has to offer. If you’re looking for a kind, easy-going, and friendly dog with just the right amount of energy to keep life exciting, Tip Tap may be the perfect match for you! As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Tip Tap, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
