My story

Approximate Age: 4 years old Approximate Weight: 45 lbs Meet Prince! The fluffiest boy LOVESSS his people so much. Loves to be pet Well behaved- doesn’t destroy anything really just kinda hangs out. Wonderful in his crate. Walks beautifully on a leash!!! Great with other dogs !! Was a little nervous about getting in and out of cars, but has made drastic improvement and once in the car, he is a perfect car rider !! Loves pup cups Loves squeaky toys Crate trained - Prefers Staying Dry: Prince does not like to get wet. Baths are not his favorite - Needs TLC for Checkups: Prince does not like to be medically handled. - Grounded Guy: Prince really, really does NOT like being picked up. He loves pats and attention, but likes to keep all four paws firmly on the floor! - Prince's Perfect Pad: A loving home with breed experience is preferred. Mixed mutt! ODHS does not breed label (unless there's official paperwork), as studies show it is nearly impossible to tell the exact breed of each dog based off of their appearance. More "sought out breeds may have a higher adoption donation) Adoption donations are to be made via cash, or credit/debit card. There is a $5 fee to run cards. We do not accept checks for adoption fees. Please remember to bring a martingale collar and leash (non-retractable) with you the day of the adoption. We typically have adoption events on Wednesdays 5-7pm, Fridays 6-8pm, Saturdays 11am-3pm and Sundays 11am-1pm. Our adoption center is located at 3602 Lafayette Blvd, Suite 101, Fredericksburg, VA 22408. It's important that you keep an eye on your emails for any changes or updates during the adoption process. Old Dominion Humane Society is a volunteer based organization. We are run completely by volunteers, who also have full time jobs, so we appreciate your patience. Currently, the average timeframe for a response to your application is 1 week.
