**Meet Paulie: Your Future Cuddle Bug!** Hiya! I’m Paulie, and I’m here to introduce myself as the biggest cuddle bug and lap cat you could ever dream of! Now, I must be honest—when we first meet, I might be a little shy. I need a patient household because I take some time to warm up, mostly due to my fear of change. But aren’t we all just a work in progress? When I’m feeling scared, I might hiss and lower my ears as a little warning sign. Don’t worry, though—I never bite or use my claws; I just need you to understand that I need a bit more time to feel safe and secure. All I want is to know that this is truly my home and that you are my special person. Your patience means the world to me! Not much is known about my background. I was found as a stray kitten and dropped off at the Royal Oak PetSmart, which was a very scary time for me as I was separated from my siblings and mama. I’d love to go home with a kitty friend. If you have an outgoing kitty, I’d love to learn from them. I've done well in my foster home, making friends with both cats and dogs, but I just can’t be a solo kitty. I truly look forward to the opportunity for you to give me a chance and show me what home feels like, while we get in as many cuddles as possible. Could you be the one to help me thrive? If you are interested in meeting him, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org. Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.
