My story

This lil bean is full of joy and ready to bring the fun! With a wagging nub tail, soft eyes, and adorable toe taps, Baked Beans is always excited to see her favorite people. She’s social, sweet, and loves soaking up all the attention she can get. Baked Beans is gentle, easy to handle, and allows all-over pets—including belly rubs and paw massages! She knows “sit,” takes treats politely, and is always up for a little playtime. Plus, she walks nicely on a leash, making her the perfect adventure buddy. If you’re looking for a happy, affectionate pup who will keep you smiling, Baked Beans is ready to be your sidekick! Behavior notes: On 2/26 Foster notes: It has been going well so far. We have been slowly introducing her to my dog, who is very fearful of her due to her size. We have been doing walks together. They don't interact much. We will continue trying to give them time to adjust to each other. Beans is much better walking on the leash but will still pull occasionally. We were even able to go for a short run around the block in the morning. Baked Beans spent the weekend with a foster sitter, who had all good things to say about her. They shared some amazing pics of her (attached). She isn't much of a barker, she is extremely sweet and gentle. Loves to get pets and attention. Her favorite toy is an old basketball that she kicks and chases around the yard. 02/15/2025 foster notes: She is the sweetest girl. She is doing well overall. She is tough to get pictures of because she is a wiggly girl. She loves to play as soon as we get outside. She met the neighbor dogs this morning through the fence and ran the fence with them. She met another dog through the fence, yesterday, that she was a little wary of. She eats her entire bowl of food at mealtime. She goes to the bathroom outside. She has had no accidents inside. It is safe to say, she is housetrained. She also sleeps through the night. We have left her alone in the house for short periods of time and she will whimper for a few minutes then settle in. I don't have any doubt that she would be fine at home by herself. 02/06/2025 staff notes: KENNEL PRESENTATION: Baked beans was in a crate due to space. She was wiggly in her crate when she saw the handler, wagging nub, soft eyes and toe taps. She was very patient for leashing and exited without any issues. LEASH SKILLS: Pulls minimally HANDLING : In the room Baked Beans was social and very sweet. She solicited attention from all handlers in the room and was very gentle! She allowed all over petting without any issues, including her paws, face, sides and belly! She took treats gently when offered and showed knowledge of sit as well.
