Male, ~1 year old, 56 lbs Personality: gentle, timid/fearful, snuggler, playful, and affectionate. Sabber is a soft-hearted pup with a gentle soul and a growing sense of adventure. When he first arrived in DC, the sights and sounds of the city felt overwhelming, but now he trots through walks with curiosity, greeting familiar faces with a wag and even sneaking in a few happy tail wiggles for new friends. His journey from timid to brave has been nothing short of inspiring! At home, Sabber is all about the snuggles. He’s a master of the perfect cuddle, pressing himself close to melt into his favorite people. He’s learning the joy of toys, and while his sock-stealing antics keep life interesting, he’s a quick learner and eager to please. A simple “leave it” usually does the trick. Sabber does well with other dogs and housetrained and cratetrained. If you’re looking for a pup with a heart and soul as big as his floppy ears, Sabber is the guy for you. Apply today to meet Sabber! ___________________________________________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Learn more, see our list of dogs needing foster, and apply, https://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/foster-a-city-dog.html City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Sabber, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
