My story

Stitious is a long-haired 3-year-old black cat, and he is a total sweetheart! He loves getting pets from our wonderful volunteers and enjoys lounging in the sun. When he does, you can see the beautiful warm brown tones in his fur. We are also starting to see that he has a playful side to him as he settles in here. Stitious is FIV+. Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) is a virus that affects cats. It attacks the immune system, making the cat more vulnerable to other infections. There's no cure for FIV, but with proper care, FIV+ cats can live long, healthy lives. Keeping them indoors with good nutrition and consistent preventive health care is a must. Consult your veterinarian for more information about caring for a FIV+ cat and other resident cats. The adoption fee is $125 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. The adoption fee helps cover the cost of these vetting procedures.  Please note, we do NOT allow declawing of any cat or kitten that we adopt out, unless deemed medically necessary.  We will gladly provide you with alternative methods of managing cats with claws.  We're open from 12-4 PM every day EXCEPT Wednesday! Did you know you don't need to have an appointment to visit our available cats and dogs***? Simply drop by and if you find a potential new furry friend, you can fill out an application on the day you visit. Go to townandcountryanimalrescue.org to fill out our digital application. Applications are typically processed in 3-5 business days. Once you're approved, you can return on the date and time set up by your adoption counselor, with your family for a meet and greet. If it goes well, you can take your new best friend home on the meet and greet day! ***Please note that animals in foster homes cannot be viewed at our rescue, and appointments are still required to meet them. Follow us on Facebook to learn more about Town and Country Animal Rescue and our mission  ##2281135##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Stitious, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
