My story

FantasiaYou know, I was just looking at my photographs and was pleasantly surprised. I am 10-years-old and have the typical complaints of most senior cats, but I`m resilient. Check out my glamour shot! Despite my age, I look years younger, weigh only 6.1 pounds, and have a short grey and white coat with a bubblegum pink nose. I arrived as a stray kitty on January 21, but no one took care of me until I got here. The good thing is I was already spayed and knew my way around a litterbox. The bad thing is I was declawed on my front paws and had no way to defend myself. The medical exam revealed that I was affectionate, vocal, alert, and responsive. I preferred wet food over dry food. Although initial testing indicated I had lesions on my liver and some changes to one of my kidneys, the medicine I have been taking has made those lesions disappear! It looks like my problems can be well managed with diet and supplements. Yipee! I have plenty more life to live! The HSHC staff will provide all the information you need to care for me. The interviewer lady (IL) visited me several times, and she told me I needed to stop smoking. Ha, ha! She`s referring to my old lady meow, which is a little raspy. I let her pet me all over, even after being teased, because I am a friendly gal. I have some true fans here among the staff and volunteers. They know that I am a good girl who deserves a loving home.
