Let's brush up on some feline body language together!Bustelo tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful and/or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. A volunteer writes: Bustelo was sitting up front in his kennel, quiet and pensive, wondering what to make of the place where he'd landed less than a week ago. He remained quiet and thoughtful as I approached his kennel and opened his door. I wasn't sure I was welcome until, PLOP, down on his side he went, with his head angled upwards and toward me, and the sweetest goo-goo eyes told me he'd love it if I stayed awhile. I stroked his tabby cat cheeks and then offered him some treats, as any gracious guest would do. He stretched up onto his feet and sat in front of me, ignored the treats and instead dipped his forehead down for petting there. When I saw him looking up at me expectantly, I lowered my nose down to his for a nuzzle. I got, not just one, but two perfect noses kisses. How does a tabby cat make you fall hopelessly in love with him? That's how it's done. Come visit Bustelo at the Care Center and let him show you the love.
