This sweet, blind labradoodle is truly one of a kind - and his unique charm will have you completely smitten! Born with Central Blindness, Bear has never known life any other way — and he doesn’t let it slow him down. He’s smart, affectionate, and full of playful energy. Just wait until you see his zoomies — you’ll be hooked! He navigates stairs like a pro, adores enrichment games, and proudly carries his stuffed toys like prized possessions. ✨ What Makes Bear Special: ✅ House-trained & sleeps through the night ✅ Obsessed with toys, snuffle mats & stuffies ✅ Smart, silly, and incredibly affectionate ✅ Thrives on routine, quiet time & cozy nap spots ✅ Enjoys adventures (Recently enjoyed a beach trip — water wading and all!) Bear’s blindness is due to a neurological condition — his eyes are healthy, but his brain doesn’t fully process visual input. He also shows some mild neurologic behaviors (like circling or fly-biting), especially when overstimulated. These are well-managed with daily meds (gabapentin, trazodone, and soon, Prozac, per his neurologist). He’s fully vetted, microchipped, and his bloodwork looks great! ✨ Bear's Ideal Home: Bear is looking for a calm, patient home — foster or adoptive — where he can continue to thrive. He’d love to be your one-and-only, or could live with a gentle, respectful dog friend. 💜 To help him find his perfect match, Bear’s adoption fee has been fully sponsored! 💜 Click 'Apply' today!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bear, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
