My story

Meet Kendra, a beautiful 11 month old spayed female Australian Cattle Dog (heeler) mix! Kendra's siblings have all been adopted, she is the last pup remaining from her litter and we don't understand how she hasn't been scooped up yet!   Kendra can be a little shy at first, but she LOVES human interaction! She is great with other dogs, people, and kids. She also does fine with cats. She's a respectful girl and loves cuddles, attention, and is so eager to find her own family. She is medically up to date, housebroken (when kept on schedule), and crate trained. Kendra would do great with an active family familiar with herding breeds. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
