My story

NOTE: SADIE IS WITH HER PEOPLE IN CLOVERDALE, CA. GSRSV HAS NOT MET SADIE. WE ARE LISTING HER ALONG WITH OUR OWN DOGS ON THIS WEBSITE TO GIVE HER MORE ADOPTION EXPOSURE. PLEASE SEE END OF THIS PROFILE FOR CONTACT INFO. "Sadie" is a 65-lb, 1-yr old spayed female GSD/Husky who is friendly, playful and curious. She was born approx 1-14-24 and is the littermate of her companion Blaze. Both Sadie & Blaze are available for adoption either together or separately, though it would be great if they were able to remain together. Sadie is healthy and up-to-date on core vaccinations.Though she is energetic, she is also quite content to lay at your feet once she’s had a chance to run around. Sadie is friendly with everyone she meets, including young children. (Sadie’s people have grandkids who Sadie has interacted well with.) Sadie has been very good with the two little Yorkies who live at the same home as her & Blaze. She has also been good with other dogs in the neighborhood. Sadie has not been around cats, so it is best that she be adopted into a home without cats. Sadie’s people keep her (and Blaze) outside of their house. However, the two dogs have access via a dog door to an enclosed area in a shop building. Both Sadie and Blaze sleep in this enclosed area, and since they do not relieve themselves in this area they can both be considered housetrained. Sadie’s people have not had her on leash much as they live on a property where she & Blaze can run around. Sadie enjoys car rides and is a calm passenger. She enjoys playing with balls and especially squeaky toys. Sadie’s primary caretaker Karen & her husband adopted her & Blaze in May 2024 from a dog rescue based in Albany, CA. Within 30 days Karen & her husband realized that they did not have the time to devote to two young dogs as energetic as Sadie & Blaze. Unfortunately, the rescue they adopted the two dogs from were not able (or willing) to take them back. Karen has been trying to find a new home or homes for Sadie & Blaze since then. Sadie is located in Cloverdale, CA. There is an adoption fee of $100 for Sadie. If Sadie & Blaze are adopted together, the adoption fee is only an additional $50. Please contact Karen Stumbaugh at (707)889-6020 or klstumbaugh@petersontrucks.com.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Sadie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
