"Ducky" is an approx 65-lb neutered male GSD/Akita who is is the epitome of “shy but sweet.” He has won over the hearts of both staff and volunteers at the Elk Grove animal shelter, where he's been housed since September 2023! Due to his initial shyness and nervousness in new environments, Ducky has been passed over by adopters time and time again. While in the care of the Elk Grove animal shelter, Ducky has made many dog friends and has proven himself to be a playgroup ambassador. He is an affectionate leaner once he trusts you, walks well on the leash, and has a wonderful balanced energy – ready to play with dog friends or keep you company in the yard.
