My story

NOTE: BLAZE IS LOCATED WITH HIS PERSON IN CLOVERDALE, CA. GSRSV HAS NOT MET BLAZE. WE ARE LISTING HIM ON THIS WEBSITE ALONG WITH OUR OWN DOGS TO GIVE HIM MORE ADOPTION EXPOSURE. PLEASE SEE END OF THIS PROFILE FOR CONTACT INFO. "Blaze" is a 62-lb, 1-yr old neutered GSD/Husky who is friendly, playful and curious. He was born approx 1-14-24 and is the littermate of his companion Sadie. Both Blaze & Sadie are available for adoption either together or separately, though it would be great if they were able to remain together. Blaze is healthy and up-to-date on core vaccinations.Though he is energetic, he is also quite content to lay at your feet once he’s had a chance to run around. Blaze is friendly with everyone he meets, including young children. (Blaze’s people have grandkids who Blaze has interacted well with.) Blaze has been very good with the two little Yorkies who live at the same home as him & Sadie. He has also been good with other dogs in the neighborhood. Blaze has not been around cats, so it is best that he be adopted into a home without cats. Blaze’s people keep him (and Sadie) outside of their house. However, the two dogs have access via a dog door to an enclosed area in a shop building. Both Blaze & Sadie sleep in this enclosed area, and since they do not relieve themselves in this area they can both be considered housetrained. Blaze’s people have not had him on leash much as they live on a property where he & Sadie can run around. Blaze enjoys car rides and is a calm passenger. He enjoys playing with balls and especially squeaky toys. Blaze’s primary caretaker Karen & her husband adopted him & Sadie in May 2024 from a dog rescue based in Albany, CA. Within 30 days Karen & her husband realized that they did not have the time to devote to two young dogs as energetic as Blaze & Sadie. Unfortunately, the rescue they adopted the two dogs from were not able (or willing) to take them back. Karen has been trying to find a new home or homes for Blaze & Sadie since then. Blaze is located in Cloverdale, CA. There is an adoption fee of $100 for Blaze. If Blaze & Sadie are adopted together, the adoption fee is only an additional $50. Please contact Karen Stumbaugh at (707)889-6020 or klstumbaugh@petersontrucks.com.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Blaze, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
