My story

MarbleOn December 28, a kind man found me and brought me to the HSHC when he saw me roaming Noblesville. Being a stray cat is so lonely and scary when you have been someone`s pet. I was already spayed, so you know I had a home. I am a 4-year-old female tabby, brown with a splash of white on my face and neck. I have big green eyes with which I tried to communicate my plight. Being rescued is also frightening because you are in a strange place with new people, noises, and experiences. Not long after I arrived, I had a little panic attack in my apartment because housekeeping was cleaning the apartment above me. How embarrassing. At the end of February, I moved into a foster home to help me become a little braver. My foster family gave me plenty of time to settle into a new routine, and they watched me as I gradually became more confident. I moved back to HSHC on May 6 and feel a little nervous. Today, I met with the interviewer lady (IL). I was hiding behind my litterbox when she opened the door. I vaguely remember her because she was very polite and did not insist on my talking with her. I came into the bedroom of my apartment and sniffed her hand. She gently scratched my cheeks and chin, and I closed my eyes and I began to purr with pleasure. As she did in December, the IL told me I was still a sugar lump and would be a cuddly girl with a gentle owner. I will need more time to get used to a new home than you might think. But if you treat me with patience and love, I will love you forever. 5-7-25
