Axel is full of potential, and with the right family, he will thrive with patience, love, and positive reinforcement training.Axel is a smart boy who loves to stay active, and he’ll do best with a family that enjoys keeping him both mentally and physically engaged. Think puzzle feeders, scent games, and learning new tricks! He’s shown that he can get along with other dogs, but he needs slow introductions and a little time to feel comfortable around them. With some guidance, Axel is sure to build his confidence in new situations and around new friends.Axel does need a little help learning to love his crate, as it`s been a source of stress for him in the past. With patience, tasty treats, and a gentle approach, he can learn to feel safe and comfortable. He’d do best in a home with older teens, where everyone understands how to respect his boundaries and help him feel secure.Since Axel is a bit of an escape artist, he’ll need a home with a secure 6-foot privacy fence or someone dedicated to keeping him safe on walks. If you’re looking for a dog who’s ready for a fresh start and are committed to providing him with the guidance and support he needs, Axel will be your loyal companion for life.Are you the one to help Axel grow and thrive? He’s ready and waiting!-----Adoption Fees & Benefits:Under 1 year: $2001-4 years: $1005-9 years: $5510+ years: $35Fees include: Heartworm test (age appropriate), vaccinations, flea/tick preventative, complimentary bag of food, wellness exam, and rabies vaccine.Important Notice: A `meet and greet` with any existing dogs in your home is required, supervised by our team in our play areas. We encourage bringing your family and current pets, especially if traveling from afar.Adoption Hours: Open daily at 12 PM, except Wednesdays. No appointment needed!
