My story

We pulled young Phoebe because she had a severe fracture on one of her hind legs that we thought may require surgery. The good news is that we have had it checked out and the specialist thinks that with her young age that we can avoid surgery with crate rest and very reduced activity. Yay! She had her 4 week check in with the specialist middle of February and they did clear her to fully puppy at the end of another 4 weeks so middle of March without another appointment or more radiographs needed! Awesome Phoebe!!! She can fully puppy now! Phoebe is a young puppy that seems to have the nose of a hound and the energy of a Terrier so it would be good if you know those breeds. Her foster's have been working on cues with her but she came to us as a puppy with no training so whoever adopts her will know they will need to continue that on. She is a sweetheart!!! We think maybe her past abuse did come from a man because she can be more hesitant with them, but she warms up very quickly! Because of her Hound tendencies a privacy fence would be best with this girl and she is very interested in what is outside the fence and may try and get to it out of sheer curiosity! She is a high energy little girl and LOVES to play with other dogs so if you had an active dog in your home that would be best for her. She is also game to chill with you while you work from home-she's truly a great girl! She is in her mouthy puppy stage so young kids may not be good unless they know how puppies and teeth work lol! She can get carsick if kept in a crate, but seems to do better in a sling in the backseat with windows open and driving at a nice, cozy pace. She may grow out of it though!March 28, 2025, 11:49 am
